Meet Deborah Griesbach

A graduate of Harvard College and M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management, Deborah’s early professional career included a decade at The Prudential Insurance Company of America, where she worked in private placements, strategic planning, and group health insurance. After starting a family, she transitioned to self employment, embracing a purpose-driven life characterized by civic engagement and generosity. She took particular pride in her service as a volunteer EMT in the small town where she lived.

In 2024, Deborah became a living kidney donor, working with Hartford Hospital and the National Kidney Registry. Her left kidney (“Gulliver”) went to a stranger for whom it was a great match. This donation activated Deborah’s cousin Jess in the national system, resulting in Jess’s receiving a kidney within a two month time frame. Deborah is an active proponent of living kidney donation, saying “It’s one of the best things I have ever done.”

While Deborah had been looking forward to a further transition into at least semi- retirement, her concerns about the second Trump administration have driven her to channel all her spare time and energy into political activism, using her voice to educate and advocate.
